I attended Leatherhead hospital to have a Mirena coil removed and an hysteroscopy . I was extremely nervous as previous removal of mirena coils had been very painful requiring the administering of a local anaesthetic. Ms Ammar and her team were very reassuring, gentle and kind. Ms Amnar talked me through exactly what she was doing, constantly reassuring me that we could stop at anytime. I was so impressed with the care and consideration shown.

I had a hysteroscopy today, and i have to say Katy and her team of nurses at Leatherhead cottage hospital are THE BEST, without exception.I was very apprehensive and was even considering going home. Danka a lovely nurse, went throught what was going to happen, explaining i was in charge, not them, i could say stop at any time. I still was very apprehensive. I went into the room to meet Katy and the nurses, what a fabulous bunch of girls they all are. We had a little giggle and one of my lame jokes (my coping mechanism) and then she set to work. I was in the chair maybe 10 minutes, and she said your done, i said oh god whats next, she said no, your done, i said done as in i can go home, she said yes. I got dressed we had a chat about my insides and what she thought, i was brought a cup of coffee and well under an hour later i am back at home. I cant praise Katy and her team highly enough FANTASTIC doesnt really come close.I have been to many hospitals over the years for myself and my family, i have never had such wonderful and kind care. Well done you lot are the best, and not forgetting the lady on the reception, she was very nice and welcoming too.Thank you everyone for today, you ARE the best!

I was originally seeing a consultant at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital for prolapse related issues following childbirth. They had suggested a few different procedures, however I was keen to get a second opinion and was recommended Dr Ammar by a mutual friend. I am so pleased that I asked for a referral as the recommended procedure by Chelsea & Westminster she deemed unnecessary and advised I should just have a vaginal hysterectomy and to keep my ovaries. She was very friendly and helpful and I felt very reassured during my whole operation, pre and post. My recovery was extraordinarily quick and am thrilled with the results. This was all done through the NHS and it was my first operation and general anaesthetic. Katy and her team were brilliant and felt I was well looked after. So many of my friends have similar issues and think are embarrassed to discuss and also think no womb equals being less of a woman! I feel more sexually confident, have no more periods or any risk of cervical cancer. I am 43 and knew I no longer wanted children and dealt with it early on rather than having to probably have the same operation in 10 years time.

I was seen by Miss Katy Ammar for a hysteroscopy and a 2nd appointments for removal of fibroids under local anaesthetic. Through each contact, Ms Ammar listened to my concerns and gave me opportunity to ask questions. I have a complex obstetric history which Miss Ammar was aware of and she handled my case in a kind, professional and very reassuring manner. I was impressed by the nursing team that worked with Ms Ammar that day and in particular how well the team operated together and treated me with kindness, respect and dignity. I was looked after very well following the procedure, again Ms Ammar explained the outcome of the procedure, symptoms I may experience following the procedure and I was given the team's contact number should I have any difficulties post procedure. I would highly recommend Ms Ammar for her outstanding care. Thank you.

I was transferred to Miss Katy Ammar from St Helier Hospital due to a shortage of equipment. I was afmitted for a day surgery (hysteroscopic resection of fibroid ) removal of a fibroid. Prior to the surgery the fibroid was causing such heavy bleeding. I was bleeding so much that I was having to double my Super plus tampons (wearing 2 at once) and still changing them within 1-2 hours. It was so bad that I could not leave my house during my period. Not to mention the pain! Miss Ammar was able to accurately locate and remove the fibroid in her day surgery. I was really well cared for during the operation and the results have been remarkable. I now have much lighter periods, I can go work and don't have to plan my social calendar around my period! It has been really life changing for me. I had the privilege of meeting Miss Kattly Ammar in the post operative follow up and she was amazing - genuinely interested in how I was faring and very caring. My husband and I have now been given the all clear to try for another baby! I couldn't be more pleased! Thank you so much Miss Katy Ammar for your excellence in care. I am really grateful.
